In 1965 Aorangi Homes was established in South Canterbury by Wynn Ball and Gordon Grigor. It was one of Timaru’s largest new home companies.

At it’s peak in the late 70’s it was producing up to 50 new homes a year. In 1975 Jeff Wright started working for Aorangi Homes where he worked for 20 years. He was given the opportunity to purchase the business in 1995 in which he has successfully run it to this day. Jeff is still an integral part of of Aorangi Homes with his son Javas who started as an apprentice in 2001. Javas has worked alongside his father.

In 2014 he became the co-owner of Aorangi Homes with his father Jeff. They continue to run a successful family business together and take pride in the companys long standing name in South Canterbury.
